Rearrange property inspections for a future occasion
Due to self-isolating and staying at home and away from others regulations, landlords and property managers for blocks of flats must rearrange property inspections. With the current uncertainty, it is advised to avoid planning any inspections for the foreseeable future. With any planned inspections that can no longer go ahead, document this for future reference.
Keep tenants updated with government advice
Whilst your tenants might be keeping up to date with the latest government news and advice, it is your responsibility to ensure your tenants are well looked after. In a time like this, they will likely be looking for someone to turn to. This can be done by emailing tenants with copies of the latest government advice or even sending them soaps and sanitizers to encourage good hygiene.
Be contactable online
If you are worried about how you will manage your block of flats whilst self-isolating, there are ways around this. Let your tenants know that you are contactable via online platforms, either via email, text or telephone (whichever your preference). Make any necessary contact that you would do in person via one of these online methods, so that your tenants are appropriately cared for during this time.
